The likelihood of encountering health problems can be prevented by fuelling your body with the right forms of food as well as surrounding yourself in a beneficial environment.

• Reduce stress as it reduces absorption by shutting down enzyme production
• Chew thoroughly as it alerts the stomach that food is on the way, which triggers stomach -acid production, commencing the digestion process
• Avoid fried foods, excessive high-sugar foods and full fat diary produce. The more unnatural your diet, the more the body has to produce enzymes to digest your food which can overwork the digestive system
• Avoid drinking too much fluid with meals, as this dilutes the stomach acid- the very necessary substance you need for digesting your meal
• Avoid eating for about an hour after rigorous exercise
• Avoid eating late at night to allow adequate digestion of food
• Eat raw, steamed or lightly cooked foods as they retain more enzymes, which aid digestion
